Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,447.73
Schedule: Day Shift | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Position Overview
Trinity Healthcare Talent Services is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist (PT) for an inpatient hospital setting at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC.
The Physical Therapist will evaluate patients and implement evidence-based treatment plans designed to restore mobility, improve functional independence, and support recovery from injuries, surgeries, and medical conditions.
The therapist will collaborate with physicians, physical therapy assistants, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care in accordance with APTA standards and hospital policies.
Unit & Patient Population
This inpatient unit provides rehabilitation services for a wide range of medical conditions including:
Orthopedic injuries and joint replacements
Orthopedic trauma cases
Neurological conditions (stroke, neurological disorders)
Cardiac and medical patients
Renal and oncology patients
Trauma and ICU patients
Typical caseload begins with approximately 10 patient evaluations per day, with additional treatment sessions as required.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and functional mobility assessments
Develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans based on evaluation findings
Implement therapeutic exercises and functional rehabilitation interventions
Provide gait training, mobility assistance, and transfer training
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Maintain accurate medical documentation following APTA standards of care
Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA) and collaborate with treatment teams
Participate in departmental meetings, training, and professional development sessions
Ensure patient safety and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Required Qualifications
Active South Carolina Physical Therapist License (SC LLR)
BLS Certification (AHA)
Experience in inpatient or acute care rehabilitation preferred
Preferred Skills
Strong patient evaluation and treatment planning abilities
Experience with orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation
Ability to manage diverse patient populations in a hospital environment
