Position: Physical Therapist Assistant - Geriatric Salary Range: $28-$30 per hour Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team and provide exceptional care to our geriatric population. This position offers a competitive salary range of $28-$30 per hour, with the opportunity for increased hours as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience working with older adults and a passion for improving their quality of life. Responsibilities: - Work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans for geriatric patients - Assist with exercises, activities, and modalities to improve mobility, strength, and overall physical function - Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed - Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals - Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care for patients - Adhere to all state and federal regulations and maintain patient confidentiality - Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with new techniques and research in geriatric physical therapy Qualifications: - Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program - Current state license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant - Minimum of 1 year of experience working with geriatric patients - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Compassionate and patient-focused attitude - Knowledge of state and federal regulations for physical therapy services in a geriatric setting Schedule: This position offers a flexible schedule of 30-35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with no weekend rotation. Our facility has 400 beds, including a long-term care unit of 40 beds, assisted living units of 100 beds, and independent living facilities of 250-275 beds. We have 2 licensed buildings, one with assisted living and another with a combination of assisted living and long-term care, as well as an assisted living dementia unit.
