Position: Occupational Therapist
Location: Hayward, CA
Pay: $54-$59 per hour
Hours: 35 hours per week
Schedule: Monday-Friday, no weekend rotation
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team in Hayward, CA. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with individuals of all ages who have physical, developmental, or emotional challenges that affect their ability to perform daily activities. You will be responsible for helping these individuals develop, recover, and maintain the skills needed for daily living and working.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to assess clients' physical, emotional, and functional abilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Implement treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises, activities, and adaptive equipment, to help clients improve their motor skills, coordination, and sensory processing
- Monitor clients' progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans
- Educate clients and their families on techniques and strategies to improve daily living skills and promote independence
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of client progress and treatment plans
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, psychologists, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care
- Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in occupational therapy and incorporate them into practice
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards set by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid state license to practice Occupational Therapy
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
