Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Location: Norfolk, VA
Salary: $39-44 per hour
Schedule: 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday, no weekend rotation
Facility: 220-bed Skilled Nursing Facility and Long Term Care facility

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with patients in our Skilled Nursing Facility and Long Term Care setting to help them regain their independence and improve their quality of life. You will assess patients' needs, develop treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions to help them achieve their goals.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient evaluations to determine their physical and cognitive abilities, limitations, and goals
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' needs and goals
- Provide therapeutic interventions, exercises, and activities to help patients improve their motor skills, coordination, and daily living skills
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and speech therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families on how to continue their progress and maintain their independence after leaving our facility
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state license as an Occupational Therapist
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a SNF or long term care setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
