Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist- Geriatric
Salary Range: $39-$45 per hour
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team and provide services to our geriatric population. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders in older adults. Your expertise and knowledge will help improve the quality of life for our patients and support their communication and swallowing abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, and swallowing abilities in geriatric patients
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and patient goals
- Provide therapy and interventions to improve speech, language, and swallowing skills
- Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans
- Educate patients and their families on strategies to improve communication and swallowing abilities
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes
- Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in the field of speech language pathology
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Current state license or eligibility for state licensure
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with geriatric population
- Knowledge of common speech, language, and swallowing disorders in older adults
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends and evenings as needed
