Position: Respiratory Therapist Salary: $37.00 - $40.00 per hour Hours: 35 hours per week, 3/12 hour night shifts with every other weekend rotation Location: 101 bed Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) catering to ventilator and tracheostomy patients We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our team at our 101 bed LTACH. The ideal candidate will have experience working with ventilator and tracheostomy patients and be able to provide exceptional care to our patients. Responsibilities: - Assess and evaluate patients' respiratory needs and develop appropriate treatment plans - Administer respiratory treatments and medications as prescribed by physicians - Monitor and adjust ventilator settings for patients on mechanical ventilation - Educate patients and their families on respiratory care and disease management - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients - Document all patient care and maintain accurate medical records - Stay updated on current respiratory therapy practices and techniques Requirements: - Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy - Current state license as a Respiratory Therapist - Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably with ventilator and tracheostomy patients - BLS and ACLS certifications - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment - Flexibility to work night shifts and weekends as needed We offer a competitive salary range of $37.00 - $40.00 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and retirement plans.
