P -Respiratory Therapist

Position: Respiratory Therapist - Geriatric Salary Range: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday with weekend rotation and 8-hour day shifts Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team and provide specialized care for our geriatric patients. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, treating, and managing respiratory conditions in elderly patients. Your expertise and dedication will play a crucial role in improving the quality of life for our elderly patients. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct thorough assessments of geriatric patients' respiratory conditions and develop individualized treatment plans - Administer respiratory treatments, including oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, chest physiotherapy, and mechanical ventilation - Monitor patients' responses to treatments and adjust treatment plans as needed - Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients - Keep accurate and up-to-date patient records - Stay current with developments in respiratory therapy through continuing education and professional development opportunities Qualifications: - Must be a licensed Respiratory Therapist in the state - Minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy, preferably in a geriatric setting - Strong knowledge of respiratory conditions and treatments for the elderly population - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills - Willingness to work flexible hours and participate in weekend rotations We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
