Our client is a leading international player within the online entertainment sector, as they expand their operations within the regulated Canadian market, they are seeking a dedicated and experienced Regulatory Operations Senior Manager to join the team and ensure the adherence to all applicable Canadian and New Jersey gaming laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the daily operations of the Regulatory Operations department.
- Translate new license/brand regulatory requirements into efficient operational procedures.
- Act as project lead and central coordinator for all audits (internal, external, and regulator-driven).
- Develop and maintain an Operations Procedures Database ensuring version control and easy accessibility.
- Liaise with compliance to ensure timely receipt of updated requirements and guidance. Work with the internal audit team to ensure operational compliance with regulatory expectations.
- Identify procedural gaps, propose improvements, and oversee implementation.
- Own final sign-off on operational readiness for new licenses/brands.
- Manage hiring, training, and team structure development.
- Provide regular departmental updates and risk assessments to senior leadership.
- Own the RG framework from an operations perspective ensuring all processes align with regulatory and internal standards.
- Support customer-facing teams (VIP, Customer Support, RG/AML, etc.) by providing guidance, answering RG-related queries, and offering clarity on complex or sensitive cases.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Law, Business, Compliance, Risk Management, or a related field; advanced qualifications or certifications are an advantage.
- 7–10+ years experience in regulatory operations, compliance operations, or regulatory project management within the online gaming / iGaming industry.
- Strong hands-on experience working within regulated markets, with proven exposure to:
- Canada (e.g., AGCO / iGaming Ontario), and
- United States, preferably New Jersey.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple licences, brands, or jurisdictions concurrently.
- Proven leadership experience managing and scaling regulatory or operational teams.
- Strong audit experience, including acting as lead coordinator for regulator-driven audits.
- Solid operational understanding of Responsible Gaming, AML, and customer protection frameworks.
- Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical, business-ready procedures.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in fast-paced, regulated environments.
