Who We’re Looking For
We’re hiring a trend-savvy, creative, and trend-obsessed Social Video Editor to help bring our clients’ voices to life on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. This role is ideal for someone who’s immersed in internet culture, constantly exploring new editing styles, and naturally understands what makes content go viral.
You know how to cut with emotion and rhythm. You can take a face-to-camera video or client voice note and turn it into something powerful. You’re fluent in meme formats, POV edits, remix culture, and storytelling through visual pacing.
You’re not just following instructions you’re thinking critically, offering new ideas, and bringing trends to the table. You understand that every client is different, and you know how to shape each edit to feel authentic, strategic, and timely. If you follow creators like Mr. Beast, Jay Shetti, Alex Hormozi, Ali Abdaal, Deandre Brown, or corporate Natalie and you can break down what works in their edits this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
1. Short-Form Video Editing
You’ll be in charge of transforming raw footage face-to-camera, interviews, UGC, screen recordings into polished, social-native content. That includes:
Cutting tight, emotionally-driven clips with strong pacing
- Leading with powerful hooks and high-impact openers
Designing smart edits with captions, motion, and overlays that feel native to TikTok, Reels, and Shorts
- Adding music, visual callouts, and bumpers that feel on-brand and platform-forward
- Formatting everything for vertical 9:16 viewing, optimized for mobile and algorithm performance
2. Trend Adaptation & Platform Fluency
You’ll bring cultural fluency to everything you touch. That means:
Knowing what’s trending and why
- Pitching new edit formats, sounds, transitions, and hooks based on what’s performing across platforms
- Following and analyzing creators and content styles that are breaking through (across industries like wellness, business, culture, and social impact)
- Bringing a point of view and adapting each trend to fit the client’s voice and goals
3. Creative Judgment & Brand Alignment
We’re not looking for passive execution. You’ll need to:
- Understand and interpret each client’s brand tone, values, and visual identity
- Edit in a way that complements the speaker’s style, energy, and message
- Identify the strongest moments from raw footagewhether it’s a hot take, a vulnerable truth, or a mic-drop insight
- Elevate content that resonates emotionally and strategically with each audience
4. Workflow & Delivery
You’ll be a key part of our creative engine. That means:
- Delivering clean, organized files and exports to Frame.io and ClickUp
- Following clear naming conventions, task timelines, and internal workflows
- Applying revisions quickly, with precision and care
Communicating regularly with the Project Manager and Senior Producer
- Occasionally supporting podcast or long-form edits if team bandwidth requires it
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Quality and creativity of final edits
On-time delivery and response to feedback
Contribution of trend-driven or platform-native ideas
Alignment with brand tone and content objectives
Internal team collaboration and communication flow
What You Bring
Required Skills & Experience
- 23 years of experience editing short-form video for social platforms (TikTok, IG Reels, YouTube Shorts)
- Strong understanding of storytelling, visual pacing, and content that performs in-feed
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality edits quickly, and revise with precision
- Deep familiarity with social trends, editing rhythms, and viral mechanics
- Proficiency in CapCut, Premiere Pro, Descript, and Frame.io (After Effects a plus)
- Comfortable working in ClickUp and following structured workflows
- Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt to different brand voices and tones
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with digital creators, podcasts, thought leaders, or brands with a content strategy
- Background in editing a variety of formats face to camera, screen-record, podcast, speaking clips, etc.
- Eye for design, motion, and layout that matches visual brand systems
- Fluent in English and Spanish is a plus.
