The Relationship Operations Manager plays a critical internal role in organizing investor and founder relationships, ensuring seamless communication, and optimizing our CRM systems and relationship workflows. You'll maintain meticulous records, streamline how we operate, and keep the pulse on every relationship that drives our growth across Kinship and Trolley. Key Responsibilities
CRM Management & Data Integrity
- Oversee and manage CRM platforms (HubSpot, Trolley Maps, Substack) with a focus on accuracy, structure, and system integrity.
- Implement and optimize workflows in ClickUp to track investor, founder, and partner engagement.
- Train internal team members on CRM usage and best practices to ensure consistent adoption.
- Conduct weekly CRM audits to eliminate duplicates, misclassifications, and outdated records.
- Cross-reference Mojs ~800 iPhone contacts with CRM entries to maintain alignment and eliminate gaps.
- Track all engagement history with major contacts to prevent relationships from going stale.
- Generate dashboards and reports that provide visibility into engagement metrics, relationship health, and business opportunities.
Investor & Founder Relations
- Act as the internal operational point person supporting LP, founder, and strategic stakeholder engagement.
- Manage inquiries and communications with timeliness, clarity, and a high level of polish.
- Maintain calendars and schedules; ensure meetings are prepped, followed up, and logged with next steps.
- Support investor relations initiatives including decks, reports, and personalized outreach.
- Provide thoughtful engagement and proactive relationship maintenance.
- Run quarterly audits to highlight under-engaged relationships and recommend follow-up strategies.
Revenue & Growth Support
- Identify and prioritize high-value relationships that impact revenue and fund growth.
- Track deal flow and co-investor momentum to ensure opportunities are moved forward.
- Align CRM data with marketing and partnership efforts, including newsletters, gifting, and brand activations.
- Manage special projects and outreach campaigns that support retention and new revenue streams.
Operational Collaboration
- Work cross-functionally with finance, legal, media, and operations to manage communication and relationship execution.
- Organize investor events, founder breakfasts, and private convenings with logistical and stakeholder support.
- Act as a proxy for the CEO when needed--representing voice, tone, and intent across external communication.
- Maintain continuity in communication and follow-through across fast-moving teams and timelines.
Strategy & Reporting
- Generate weekly reports by 8 PM PST detailing engagement performance, outreach activity, and actionable insights.
- Provide recommendations for improving relationship health and expanding strategic influence.
- Build and maintain internal SOPs for outreach, follow-up, event invites, and relationship documentation.
- Establish scalable systems to support consistent, thoughtful, and timely communication at scale.
Operating Framework

06 Months: Foundation
- Full fluency in all CRM tools, data structure, and relationship workflows.
- Weekly dashboards launched. CRM hygiene process fully owned.
- All core relationships mapped, tracked, and proactively engaged.
- Internal team onboarded into SOPs and CRM usage.
612 Months: Leverage & Leadership
- Playbooks and SOPs built for relationship management across the org.
- Relationship gaps identified and re-engagement plans implemented.
- Special projects (events, gifting, launches) led and delivered with precision.
- You represent the CEOs tone and direction externally with confidence.
- You've created scalable infrastructure and know how to delegate low-leverage work.
What You Bring
Experience
- 3+ years in a relationship management, CRM, or executive support role; VC, PE, or startup experience is a plus.
- Proven ability to build and maintain trust with high-profile stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with HubSpot, ClickUp, and collaborative workflow platforms.
- Exposure to founder, investor, or C-suite operational environments.
Technical Skills
- CRM expertise including workflow building, deduplication, and engagement tracking.
- Strong reporting skills with ability to analyze and surface actionable insights.
- Experience with Google Suite, Slack, Notion, and other cross-functional productivity tools.
- Ability to train others, document systems, and reinforce best practices.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing LP or investor pipelines.
- Background in legal/finance operations or investor comms.
- Event and gifting coordination experience.
- Ability to build dashboards (Google Data Studio, Tableau, or Sheets-based systems).
- Experience building internal documentation and SOPs that others can follow.
