About the job Staff Accountant Hybrid
This position is responsible for supporting the manufacturing accounting for this organization. This role will work closely with the Accounting Manager and team on all aspects of financial reporting.

What the Staff Accountant will do:
Edit and posting ledgers, journal entries, and other miscellaneous month end entries
Support and contribute to the development of the budget process
Responsible for the analysis of all balance sheet accounts and various Sales, General, and Administration expenses
Assists in compiling and filing the annual CT Sales & Use Tax return and 1099
Responsible for processing checks
Process invoices, check requests, wires, ACH, credit card charges and accompanying documentation and evaluate and for accuracy and proper authorization and approvals
Process customer payments, follow up on past due receivables, intercompany invoicing
Responsible for uploading A/P invoices, wires, payments to global search
Create and update A/P invoice templates as needed
Responsible for maintaining an accurate database/ list of the assets located at each location
Assist with year-end audit
Additional duties as needed
Work with members of the Accounting Department as well as other departments to assist in providing necessary information requested by senior leadership
What the Staff Accountant needs to have:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related area
3+years of accounting experience
Experience with Syteline, Lotus Notes, or other ERP systems are a plus.

COMPENSATION:
Depending on the candidates experience & qualifications the compensation range for this position is $65,000-80,000 annually.
