We are seeking a results-driven and strategic Business Development Manager with proven experience in the software development / IT services industry. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in lead generation tools, CRM systems, and client engagement, along with a strong ability to drive revenue through discovery calls and consultative selling. This role is ideal for someone who understands the tech landscape, can identify client pain points, and convert opportunities into long-term business partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, generate, and qualify new business opportunities within the software services / IT domain.
- Manage both inbound and outbound leads, ensuring a consistent and healthy sales pipeline.
- Utilize lead generation and automation tools such as Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HeyReach, and other outreach platforms.
- Leverage data scraping tools and platforms like Upwork for targeted lead sourcing and client acquisition.
- Conduct cold calls to both cold and warm leads to initiate and nurture client relationships.
- Lead discovery calls to understand client requirements, pain points, and business objectives.
- Develop and deliver customized proposals, presentations, and solution pitches aligned with client needs.
- Own the end-to-end sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with international clients and stakeholders (US, UK, and other regions).
- Collaborate closely with technical teams to align proposed solutions with client requirements.
- Maintain and track leads, opportunities, and sales activities using CRM tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or Zoho CRM.
- Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in the IT industry.
- Represent the company in client meetings, demos, and international events when required.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–5+ years of experience in Business Development / Sales within a software house or IT services company.
- Strong hands-on experience with lead generation tools (Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HeyReach, etc.).
- Experience using data scraping tools and freelance platforms like Upwork for lead generation.
- Proven experience managing both inbound and outbound sales strategies.
- Solid experience in cold calling, discovery calls, and requirement gathering.
- Strong understanding of software development services (Web, Mobile, SaaS, APIs, etc.).
- Proficiency in CRM systems such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or Zoho CRM.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to close deals and achieve revenue targets.
- Experience working with international clients (US, UK, or similar markets).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Familiarity with SDLC and modern technologies.
- Experience in B2B sales with both outbound and inbound strategies.
- Hands-on experience in proposal writing, RFPs, and contract negotiations
