The Manufacturing Technician works as part of a team in the Mix Room, inspecting and dumping bags, totes, sacks or drums of ingredients; filling tanks; or transferring product as necessary. Candidates must be able to have a steady temperament in a fast-paced environment, must be able to pay attention to details and double check their work, and have excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a background in manufacturing, specifically bottling/beverage, brewing, or dairy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspect and fill tanks of ingredients from drums, totes, sacks, or tankers.
- Measure and mix ingredients per specifications.
- Use decanter, heat exchanger, and other equipment.
- Communicate with the fill room throughout process.
- Conduct and record thorough quality checks.
- Sanitize equipment as needed.
- Follow all Safety and Quality procedures.
Requirements
- Able to understand and operate highly automated equipment with computer interfaces.
- Must have excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent math skills (measurement, fractions, reading gauges)
- Ability to read, write, and interpret standard operating procedures and documents
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Experience using a Forklift, a plus
- Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of basic hand tools
- Able to climb, twist, and bend at the knees and back, maneuver in tight spaces, lift objects up to 50 pounds, push/pull up to 75 pounds, differentiate between colors, work in non-temperature controlled conditions (summer/winter), and able to stand and walk a minimum of 70% of the time.
