About the job Design Manager
Our esteemed client, an established MNC, is searching for a Design Manager:
Job Responsibilities:
- Support Project Teams across all project phases, including design, technical compliance, and contract matters, ensuring alignment with cost, timeline, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate on conceptual and detailed designs, value engineering proposals, and project deliverables during Tender/ECI stages.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements; maintain quality assurance throughout projects.
- Assist in contract administration, ensuring deliverables and timelines are met.
- Coordinate design and technical aspects with consultants; oversee preparation and review of construction documents and drawings.
- Conduct site visits with Project Teams to ensure documentation aligns with regulatory requirements.
- Lead project meetings and presentations; keep clients informed on progress.
- Manage communications between project teams, clients, contractors, and consultants.
- Lead project teams of varying sizes to achieve successful project delivery.
- Ensure the design team delivers high-quality work according to client specifications.
- Anticipate and resolve complex design and technical challenges during document preparation and construction.
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies, and other vendors to meet project objectives.
- Provide design and technical guidance, offering innovative solutions to project challenges.
- Mentor junior staff, ensuring quality, clear communication, and effective use of team resources.
Job Requirements:
- Masters degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
- Strong creative and design skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and management skills for clients, consultants, contractors, and specialists.
- Strong analytical, strategic, and time management skills.
- Deep understanding of local authority codes, planning parameters, and industry best practices.
- Ability to lead teams effectively and resolve issues promptly throughout projects.
- Collaborative, strategic thinker, committed to achieving the best project outcomes.
Additional Information:
- Salary: Up to SGD 8,200 +VB (1-2 Months)
- Working Location: City Hall
- Working Hours: 5 Days Work, 9am - 6pm
