Our esteemed client, an established MNC, is searching for a Quantity Surveyor (Procurement Department):

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all procurement activities, including requesting quotations, conducting price comparisons, negotiating terms, processing purchase orders, and managing all post-award documentation.
  • Assist in developing site budgets for newly awarded projects to ensure expenses remain within the allocated budget.
  • Source quotations and market pricing across all trades to update the pricing database, ensuring RPO (Requisition of Purchase Order) rates and future budget rates are competitive and reasonable.
  • Obtain additional quotations for comparison and review exclusions in RPO submissions from sites to prevent unforeseen additional costs.
  • Coordinate and track trade award status against the master programme, and liaise closely with site teams.
  • Lead price and contract negotiations prior to award to secure best-value procurement outcomes.
  • Obtain quotations for price-date and chart updates as required.
  • Compile statistics and maintain data files for completed projects.
  • Record and monitor site expenses and budget adjustments, ensuring proper substantiation for excess costs.
  • Prepare general correspondences and maintain proper referencing of all documentation.
  • Collaborate and share information within the team to achieve departmental goals and targets.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Quantity Surveying.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with a leading Singapore main building construction firm.
  • Hands-on experience processing purchase orders and managing post-award procurement documentation.
  • Proven ability to negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions for contract awards.
  • Strong skills in tracking site expenses, budget monitoring, and validating substantiations for excess costs.
  • Preferably with on-site experience to support practical procurement processes.
  • Good communication, analytical thinking, and teamwork skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with procurement workflows.

Additional Information:

  • Salary: Up to SGD 4,500 +VB (1-2 Months)
  • Working Location: City Hall
  • Working Hours: 5 Days Work, 9am - 6pm
