Role Overview
A fast-growing financial services company is hiring a Head of Overseas Post-Loan Operations to take full ownership of post-loan management in one of its key overseas markets (Japan, Vietnam, or Indonesia).
This role acts as the country-level owner for post-loan operations, responsible for team build-out, operational performance, and regulatory compliance across collections, customer service, and outbound calling functions. The position supports multiple overseas expansion models, including acquisition, partnership, and greenfield setup.

Key Responsibilities
1. Team Building & Management
-
Build and optimize the post-loan organizational structure in the target country

Manage frontline teams including collections, customer service, and outbound calling, with collections as the core function

Oversee recruitment support, onboarding, training programs, performance management, and succession planning
-
Develop local and expatriate team leaders and mid-level managers, fostering effective cross-cultural collaboration

Typical team size: 50+ staff
2. Post-Loan Operations & Strategy

Own core post-loan KPIs and overall operational results

Design and continuously improve collection strategies, customer service workflows, and outbound calling processes based on local market dynamics

Drive the use of tools such as IVR, automation, and intelligent task allocation to improve efficiency and control costs

Leverage data analysis to optimize recovery performance and operational stability
3. Compliance & Risk Management

Maintain strong knowledge of local regulations related to financial services, labor law, and debt collection

Japan: strict compliance and consumer protection standards

Vietnam: evolving regulatory environment

Indonesia: licensing and industry compliance requirements

Establish and maintain a robust post-loan compliance framework

Ensure all post-loan activities meet regulatory and legal standards, minimizing compliance and reputational risks
4. Cross-Functional & External Coordination

Act as the primary point of contact with HQ functions including risk, finance, legal, and funding

Coordinate with local partners or acquired entities to ensure smooth operational integration

Address operational, organizational, and compliance challenges during market setup and scaling
5. Business Stage Adaptation

Adjust post-loan operating models based on market characteristics and business stage

Support the full overseas operation lifecycle: setup pilot scale-up

Ensure post-loan capabilities evolve in alignment with overall business strategy
Requirements
Education
-
Bachelors degree or above
-
Preferred fields: Finance, Business Administration, International Business, or related disciplines
Experience
-
5+ years of experience in post-loan management, collections, or credit operations
-
3+ years of experience managing large post-loan teams in overseas markets
-
Background in Fintech, consumer finance, or cross-border financial services preferred

Familiarity with structured, scalable post-loan operating models is a plus
Professional Skills

Strong understanding of post-loan workflows, collection strategies, and compliance requirements

Demonstrated capability in cost management, process optimization, and risk identification

Ability to operate effectively in regulated and evolving overseas markets
