About the job Head of HR - Indonesia
Role Overview
This position is the overall HR leader for the Indonesia market.
You will be responsible for building and managing a compliant, efficient, and localized HR system aligned with business growth. The role requires strong hands-on capability, deep understanding of Indonesian labor law, and the ability to work closely with Chinese headquarters and local teams.
You will manage large-scale workforce planning (1,000+ employees) and act as the key HR interface between Indonesia operations and the Group.
Key Responsibilities

HR Strategy & Planning

Develop and execute annual HR plans aligned with Indonesia business objectives (recruitment, training, compensation & benefits, workforce planning).

Translate business strategy into practical HR initiatives.

Recruitment & Talent Pipeline
-
Design and implement localized recruitment strategies.

Rapidly build and scale local teams.

Establish talent pipelines and succession plans for key positions.

Workforce Cost & Efficiency
-
Analyze labor cost structures and headcount efficiency.
-
Optimize employment models while ensuring compliance and cost control.

Group Coordination & Talent Exchange
-
Coordinate internal group resources.

Support cross-border talent exchange and short-term assignments (e.g., HQ experts supporting Indonesia operations or new store openings).

Compensation, Benefits & Compliance

Design and manage compensation, benefits, BPJS, and statutory programs fully compliant with Indonesian labor law.

Ensure HR policies and practices meet legal and audit standards.

Training & Capability Development
-
Develop localized training programs (e.g., operational standards, service standards, compliance training, cross-cultural communication).

Continuously improve employee capability and professionalism.

Culture & Engagement
-
Promote integration between Chinese and Indonesian teams.

Organize engagement activities such as team-building, cultural exchange initiatives, language or cultural awareness programs.

External Relations

Maintain effective relationships with labor authorities, immigration offices, and relevant industry associations.

Monitor and respond to policy or regulatory changes proactively.

Requirements
Mandatory Requirements
-
Indonesian nationality
-
Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English (both must be working languages)

Bachelors degree or above in HR Management, Psychology, Law, or related fields

Minimum 5 years of HR management experience in Indonesia

At least 3 years in a regional HR head or equivalent leadership role

Strong, practical knowledge of:

Indonesian Labor Law

Immigration Law

BPJS and social security regulations

Strongly Preferred

Experience working in Chinese companies or with Chinese stakeholders

Familiarity with Chinese working culture and decision-making style

Experience managing HR for large organizations (1,000+ employees)
