Southeast Asia Recruitment Director

Location: Malaysia (Frequent regional travel required)
Salary: MYR 15,000–25,000/month (Negotiable for exceptional candidates)

To support our rapid Southeast Asia expansion, we are now seeking a Southeast Asia Recruitment Director to lead regional talent acquisition strategy and execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Develop and implement mid- to long-term recruitment strategies aligned with Southeast Asia business expansion.

  • Break down regional hiring targets and ensure delivery across multiple countries.

  • Support HRD in building strong regional talent pipelines.

2. Recruitment System Development

  • Optimize end-to-end recruitment processes.

  • Establish compliant hiring standards aligned with local labor laws.

  • Implement risk prevention and compliance control mechanisms.

3. Executive & Critical Talent Acquisition

  • Lead recruitment of Director-level and above executives.

  • Build Southeast Asia executive talent mapping.

  • Manage headhunters and industry networks.

  • Oversee background checks and offer negotiations.

4. Team & Channel Management

  • Lead and develop regional recruitment team.

  • Set KPIs and training frameworks.

  • Evaluate ROI of recruitment channels.

  • Innovate localized hiring models (campus partnerships, community sourcing, etc.).

5. Policy & Cross-Regional Coordination

  • Monitor visa and employment regulation updates.

  • Ensure full compliance in recruitment operations.

  • Coordinate hiring collaboration between regional offices and HQ.

6. Employee Relations

  • Address and resolve employee relations matters when necessary.

Requirements

Experience

  • 8+ years in talent acquisition.

  • 5+ years managing recruitment in multinational companies within Southeast Asia.

  • Strong understanding of at least three SEA markets (Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore preferred).

Education

  • Bachelors degree or above in HR, Business Administration, or related fields.

  • Overseas education or cross-cultural management experience preferred.

Core Competencies

  • Strong executive search and talent mapping capabilities.

  • Proficient in recruitment data analytics.

  • High compliance and policy sensitivity.

  • Fluent English (mandatory).

  • Southeast Asian language skills preferred.
