Position Title: Administrative Assistant

Compensation: USD $25–30 / hour + annual performance incentive eligibility

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Administrative Assistant to support daily operations at a flagship restaurant location in San Diego. This role plays a critical part in ensuring smooth administrative processes, accurate recordkeeping, and effective communication across departments in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily administrative tasks including filing, meeting coordination, and calendar management

  • Record and reconcile daily sales and maintain accurate financial records

  • Process expense reimbursements and vendor payments in a timely manner

  • Support HR operations including employee onboarding/offboarding and personnel file maintenance

  • Track employee schedules, attendance, and coordinate payroll and benefits administration via ADP

  • Monitor purchasing requests and organize invoices and receipts

  • Track inventory-related data and support accurate inventory management

  • Prepare operational and sales reports to support management decision-making

  • Facilitate effective communication between store leadership and corporate departments

  • Provide operational or guest service support during peak periods when needed

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or above required

  • Prior experience in administrative support, accounting, HR, or restaurant operations preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently

  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills

  • Passion for the restaurant or hospitality industry

  • Fluent in both English and Chinese (Mandarin) preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs

  • Ability to bend, stretch, and reach for supplies

  • Ability to work in temperature-variable environments including refrigerated and hot kitchen areas

  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
