Compensation

  • Base Salary: USD 6,000–7,000 per month

  • Commission: 1–3%, uncapped

  • Commission paid monthly (20% advance, up to 14 months)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced U.S.-based Sales Manager with strong expertise in horticultural LED grow lighting and utility rebate-driven sales.

This is a remote, field-based role focused on developing relationships with commercial cannabis growers, greenhouse operators, and distributors, while leveraging utility rebate programs to accelerate project close.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage long-term sales relationships with:

    • Commercial cannabis growers

    • Greenhouse operators

    • Distributors and wholesalers

  • Sell commercial-grade, high-efficiency LED grow lighting products

  • Utilize factory-direct pricing and U.S.-based inventory to win competitive projects

  • Act as a subject-matter expert on U.S. utility rebate and incentive programs

  • Support customers through the full rebate process, including:

    • Utility pre-approval

    • DLC qualification verification

    • Rebate application documentation

    • Post-installation coordination

  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline, forecasting, and CRM records

  • Represent the company at customer sites, trade shows, and industry events

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in LED grow lighting or horticultural lighting sales

  • Experience working with U.S. utility rebate programs

  • Strong understanding of:

    • DLC horticultural lighting requirements

    • PPE / PPF and energy efficiency metrics

    • Commercial cannabis cultivation operations

  • Prior experience with one or more of the following companies is strongly preferred:

    • Hawthorne Gardening Company

    • Hydrofarm

    • GrowGeneration

    • Fluence

    • Growers Choice

    • ILUMINAR

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Ability to work independently in a remote, field-based role

  • Valid U.S. drivers license and access to a personal vehicle

  • Authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing relationships with commercial growers or distributor networks

  • Experience selling large-scale retrofit or new-build lighting projects

  • Familiarity with utility rebate programs in CA, OR, CO, MA, or NY
