Job Title: 2nd Shift Pressroom Supervisor (Metal Stamping)
Shift: 2nd Shift - 3:00 pm to 2:30 a.m. - 4x10 hour days.
Position Summary:

We are seeking a driven and experienced 2nd Shift Pressroom Supervisor to lead operations in our customer's metal stamping pressroom. This role is responsible for overseeing a team of press operators and support staff to ensure production targets are met safely, efficiently, and with the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal stamping, a hands-on leadership style, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate activities of pressroom personnel on 2nd shift in a high-volume metal stamping environment.

  • Ensure all production goals, quality standards, and safety protocols are consistently achieved.

  • Monitor performance of stamping presses (mechanical and hydraulic), troubleshoot issues, and minimize downtime.

  • Provide hands-on support with die setups, changeovers, and basic press maintenance as needed.

  • Enforce safety guidelines and promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

  • Train and mentor team members on proper operating procedures, safety practices, and quality standards.

  • Review production schedules and assign tasks accordingly to meet customer demands and delivery timelines.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of production output, scrap rates, downtime, and employee performance.

  • Communicate effectively with other departments including tool & die, maintenance, quality, and shipping.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training or coursework in manufacturing, metalworking, or supervision is a plus.

  • 3+ years of experience in metal stamping operations, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.

  • Strong understanding of stamping presses, tooling, die setup, and OSHA safety standards.

  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a production team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Proficiency with production reporting systems and basic computer skills (e.g., Excel, ERP systems).

  • Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed.
