Job Title: 2nd Shift Pressroom Supervisor (Metal Stamping)
Shift: 2nd Shift - 3:00 pm to 2:30 a.m. - 4x10 hour days.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a driven and experienced 2nd Shift Pressroom Supervisor to lead operations in our customer's metal stamping pressroom. This role is responsible for overseeing a team of press operators and support staff to ensure production targets are met safely, efficiently, and with the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal stamping, a hands-on leadership style, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate activities of pressroom personnel on 2nd shift in a high-volume metal stamping environment.

Ensure all production goals, quality standards, and safety protocols are consistently achieved.

Monitor performance of stamping presses (mechanical and hydraulic), troubleshoot issues, and minimize downtime.

Provide hands-on support with die setups, changeovers, and basic press maintenance as needed.

Enforce safety guidelines and promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Train and mentor team members on proper operating procedures, safety practices, and quality standards.

Review production schedules and assign tasks accordingly to meet customer demands and delivery timelines.

Maintain accurate documentation of production output, scrap rates, downtime, and employee performance.

Communicate effectively with other departments including tool & die, maintenance, quality, and shipping.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; technical training or coursework in manufacturing, metalworking, or supervision is a plus.

3+ years of experience in metal stamping operations, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.

Strong understanding of stamping presses, tooling, die setup, and OSHA safety standards.

Proven ability to lead and motivate a production team in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Proficiency with production reporting systems and basic computer skills (e.g., Excel, ERP systems).

Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed.
