Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled IT Manager to lead and manage our IT infrastructure and ERP systems at our metal fabrication facility. The ideal candidate will be a Plex ERP guru with a deep understanding of manufacturing operations, data integrity, and systems integration. This role is crucial in ensuring our technology supports efficient production, accurate data tracking, and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ERP Management: Serve as the in-house Plex ERP subject matter expert. Manage system configurations, upgrades, user training, and support.

  • Implementation & Integration: Lead continuous improvements and expansions of Plex ERP modules (production, inventory, quality, HR, finance).

  • System Administration: Oversee all IT systems, including servers, network infrastructure, workstations, and software.

  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with operations, finance, and engineering teams to align IT tools with business objectives and improve process efficiency.

  • Data Integrity & Reporting: Ensure data accuracy within Plex ERP; develop custom reports and dashboards to support operations and executive leadership.

  • Security & Compliance: Maintain cybersecurity protocols, manage data backups, and ensure IT compliance with industry standards and company policies.

  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external IT service providers, hardware/software vendors, and Plex support.

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and develop junior IT staff or third-party support personnel as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Required:

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

    • Minimum 10 years of IT experience in a manufacturing environment.

    • 10+ years of hands-on experience with Plex ERP in a manufacturing or metal work environment.

    • Strong knowledge of ERP workflows, manufacturing processes, and shop floor data collection.

    • Experience with SQL, report writing (Plex analytics, Power BI, Crystal Reports), and system integrations.

    • Ability to communicate technical solutions in a user-friendly manner.

  • Preferred:

    • Experience in metal fabrication, machining, or a similar industrial sector.

    • Project management certification (e.g., PMP) or demonstrated project leadership.
