About the job Quality Engineer

Functions as a technical liaison between purchasing, engineering, manufacturing and suppliers to investigate, analyze and resolve quality problems by conducting audits, analyzing defect trends, and leading continuous improvement efforts.

Primary Responsibilities

· Collaborate with suppliers to resolve technical issues and ensure uninterrupted supply.

· Lead supplier performance improvement initiatives aligned with company quality standards.

· Investigate and analyze product complaints and field defects.

· Perform root cause analysis for internal and supplier quality problems and recommend corrective actions.

· Initiate and verify implementation of corrective and preventative actions.

· Communicate urgent quality issues to internal stakeholders and leadership.

· Define, track, and report on short-and long-term supplier quality objectives and KPIs.

· Interpret engineering and manufacturing specifications for supplier technical teams.

· Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and environmental requirements.

· Maintain and manage the supplier audit system and conduct on-site audits to promote process standardization and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

· Bachelors in engineering and 2+ years of related experience in quality, manufacturing, or supply chain environments, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Strong ability to analyze data, identify trends, and solve problems using structured quality tools (8D, 5 Whys, Pareto Analysis, Six Sigma, etc.).

· Working knowledge of PPAP, quality systems, and supplier quality management practices.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and across diverse teams.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills preferred.
