2nd Shift Multi Axis CNC Machinist

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled 2nd Shift CNC Machinist for our customer in Dayton, Ohio. This is a permanent opportunity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and components according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines including lathes to manufacture parts with high precision.
• Set up and adjust machine tools and fixtures as needed for production runs.
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications, applying GD&T principles to ensure accuracy.
• Utilize measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions of finished products.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.
• Assemble components as required, ensuring quality standards are met throughout the process.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste in production processes.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and maintain a safe working environment.

Skills

• Proficient in CNC machining processes and operation of CNC equipment.
• Okuma or Mazak multi axis machine experience required.
• Basic math skills for calculations related to machining operations.
• Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) for interpreting engineering drawings.
• Experience with lathe operations and general machining practices.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers effectively.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.78 - $30.00 per hour
