Position Summary: The position of Maintenance Planner is responsible for assisting in the maintenance of the facility and plant equipment; help with development of maintenance staff, and use of the CMMS. This role requires both technical skills of a maintenance technician and the organizational and leadership skills.

Qualifications (include but are not limited to):

· Must have analytical skills: the ability to make judgements based on analyzing data

· Must have written and verbal skills; the ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization, and to use judgement on the use of confidential/sensitive information

· Ability to work well with others in coordination of multiple job tasks involving several process steps and several work shifts

· Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems in a manufacturing facility

· Ability to train and mentor maintenance staff

· Lead by example

· Strong Communication skills

· Flexible work schedule to include after hours/weekend availability for training, emergency downtime support and planned projects

· Basic knowledge of ISO systems

Duties (include but are not limited to):

· Assist scheduling and supervising all activities to ensure safety, quality, and 5S in maintenance operations

· Maintain a long-term outlook for maintenance activities regarding personnel, equipment, and spare parts in accordance with company policy

· Assist in planning and promoting preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime

· Initiate and drive improvement projects to reduce costs and increase efficiency

· Plan and conduct any necessary training for self and maintenance associates

· Develop and implement continuous improvement activity plans for equipment running efficiency and technical skills

· Assist with lineside maintenance & projects

· In general, maintain a 1+ year outlook on maintenance activities related to personnel, equipment and spare parts

· Keep records of all maintenance activities and communicate to management

· Verify that the work performed by the contractor has been completed as contracted

· Support improvement projects with other departments

· Maintaining spare parts inventory accuracy

· Purchase needed parts, equipment, etc. via Parker Trutec's purchasing procedure

· Recommend, plan, and assist Maint. Manager with outside vendors as well as Parker Trutec management on projects in need of completion

· Ability to use computer applications as needed. Ex. Microsoft applications and software, Epicor, CMMS

· Participate, be an active member and/or lead meetings as required

· Work with all departments to reduce outsource cost by doing projects inhouse
