A. PROFILE

Role Title: Compensation & Benefits Senior Manager
Reporting to: Chief People and Culture Officer

B. CONTEXT

Purpose: The Benefits and Compensation function oversees compensation and benefits across U9 through the development and implementation of policies and procedures, management of total rewards programs, training and coaching on related policies, employee support, and the administration of all benefits and compensation activities to ensure fair, competitive, and compliant practices.

Context: This position reports to the CPCO and supervises the C&B Team. It requires you to research and develop compensation and benefit packages which consider both company and employee requirements. As well as this responsibility, you can expect your duties to include the following.

C. ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Design, implement, and manage compensation and salary classification programs; provide guidance on pay decisions, job evaluations, and policy interpretation.
  • Conduct job evaluations for new and reclassified positions, assign pay grades, recommend salary adjustments, approve staffing requests and salary proposals, and maintain organizational charts.
  • Manage employee benefits programs, including insurance, leave administration, enrollments, claims, and employee communications.
  • Advise employees and management on compensation, benefits, HR policies, labor regulations, and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Develop, review, and continuously improve compensation and benefits policies, programs, and processes.
  • Align compensation and benefits strategies with business objectives, market trends, and industry benchmarks.
  • Manage salary structures, grading frameworks, market surveys, annual salary reviews, bonus cycles, and compensation planning.
  • Support the CPCO in developing and enhancing compensation frameworks and career progression structures.
  • Ensure benefits and compensation programs remain legally compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with employee needs.
  • Administer employee separation benefits and provide guidance on available benefit options.
  • Maintain compensation and benefits data in HR systems, including annual salary updates, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Monitor labor laws, social security requirements, and regulatory changes to ensure company compliance.
  • Manage P&C department budgets, verify related financial transactions, and prepare reports for PCC, MC, EC, and management.
  • Lead internal and external HR compliance audits and coordinate with Legal on employment-related claims and compliance matters.
  • Collaborate closely with HR team members to ensure effective service delivery in a fast-paced environment.

D. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with all Labor, SSB, Tax office and local compensation and benefits regulations.
  • Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies. (Audit Firm, Government office related reports)

Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage the compensation and benefits budget.
  • Ensure cost-effective delivery of compensation and benefits programs.

Leadership and Team Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the compensation and benefits team to achieve high performance.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to team members.

Decision Making
Basis the business requirements and competition involved it requires to take conscious business calls without delays. For revenue impacting role requires to take decision in conjunction with Director/CBO.

Minimum Experience & Essential Knowledge

  • Deep understanding of compensation and benefits principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Knowledge of market analysis, job evaluation, and pay structures.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and lead a high-performing compensation and benefits team.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and working collaboratively with other senior executives.

Strategic Thinking:

  • Ability to develop and execute long-term compensation and benefits strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Experience in identifying compensation and benefits opportunities and developing strategies to address them.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret compensation and benefits data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing compensation and benefits challenges.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with employees, management, and vendors.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and compensation and benefits software tools.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.

Minimum Entry Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is typically required.
  • Hold advanced degrees such as an MBA or a master's in Human Resources Management.
