B. CONTEXT

PurposeFixed line Wholesale & Carrier business is evolving in Myanmar with more & more customers adapting wired internet & penetration going up & enterprise companies are getting connected with their overseas offices through IPLC's. This serves as opportunity for U9 business to tap the revenue market share.

ContextFixed line wholesale Manager role is a local sales leadership position in highly competitive wholesale and carrier relationship market. Role requires representing the company's best interests while ensuring the numbers and revenue target achievement.

Thorough management of strategic stakeholders (Technology, 3rd party vendors, B2B Customer, IT, B2B department, etc.) externally and internally to implement Wholesale and Fixed line strategies to fulfil customer requirements in a timely manner.

Efficient management of resources to achieve deadlines, planning activities ahead of time and making sure the involved internal and external stakeholders achieve those target dates.

C. ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • PAN Myanmar operations of all Large ISP career business of Yangon Mandalay and other towns
  • Solution architecture formulation for best cost effective connectivity
  • International BW Career business focus for International whole sale providers
  • Managing service vendors
  • Meeting revenue & numbers target as set in wholesale AOP.
  • Effective management of existing wholesale customers to ensure they use U9 for longer time.
  • Coordination with internal (Technology, IT, procurement, finance, legal & regulatory) & external stake holders (customer side solution & commercial teams) to ensure timely implementation of the circuits and revenue protection.
  • Effective management of international carrier – service providers and build strong relationship with them.
  • Engagement with International carriers' team to ensure Myanmar part connectivity awarded to U9.
  • Management and coordination of new Fixed Line related products/projects
  • Collections of receivable from customers.

Detailed responsibilities:

  • Strategy: making sure to identify priorities and make sure to deliver those on time. Able to highlight potential roadblocks and able to plan ahead of time needed activities
  • Planning: Able to plan ahead of time needed activities, follow up with key stakeholders to make sure activities are being concluded on a timely manner, making sure to achieve deadlines, able to highlight potential roadblocks and
  • Marketing: Customer centric view of projects, Customer management, expectation management
  • Cash flow: Collection Governance of all customers
  • Profitability & Ebitda Contribution: Absolute margin value contribution for all career business deals
  • Solution Architecture: Best cost effective architecture of connectivity with best SLA solutions
  • Revenue: Top line growth month on month with growing business above the market growth
  • Coverage: Pan Myanmar coverage and acquisition of Career Business Domestic and International
  • Project Management & Supply Chain: Overseeing technical deployment from contract signing to revenues generation
  • To comply with U9 internal policies

E. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS & DECISION MAKING

Interacts with:
Internal: S&D, Marketing, Digital, Technology, IT, Operations, Finance, Legal & Regulatory, Operations

External: Owners, Directors, CxO's, Solutions teams (BSG)

Decision Making

Basis the business requirements and competition involved it requires to take conscious business calls without delays. For revenue impacting role requires to take decision in conjunction with Director/CBO.

F. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience & Essential Knowledge

  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in sales, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Experience in Project Management
  • Technical exposure of telecom network elements is desirable
  • Solution selling and Technical aptitude – preferably from a technical sales background – i.e.ICT/ IT/Office automation etc.
  • Ability to think strategically and address customer's complex requirements
  • Good command – able to communicate effectively.
  • University Degree, desirable MBA
  • Knowledge of Project Management tools like MS Project
  • MS Office Skills
  • Writing and verbal skills in Myanmar and English
  • Basic legal, finance and marketing experience.
  • Essential to have strong communications skills


Minimum Entry Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field
  • Master's degree (MBA) is a plus
  • University Degree, Technical background – Engineering degree
