A. PROFILE

Role Title: Finance Digital Transformation & System Control Senior Manager
Reporting to: Financial Controller

B. CONTEXT

Purpose: To manage the finance, procurement and supply chain modules of SAP and administrate access control over SAP modules. To lead the implementation and operationalization of all new Finance related systems and tools. To lead the digitalization projects of the Finance team and to spearhead the transformation and automation of Finance related processes.

Context: Finance Department sets the strategic direction and runs day to day operations of all finance, procurement and supply chain activities. Finance Department also ensures the company growth plans are managed from a financial perspective and profit targets are achieved within an acceptable level of risk.

The Financial System department supports all SAP modules used by functions under CFO and coordinates with other owners of ERP, BSS and OSS applications to ensure all SAP user requirements are met. It also maintains the system access control to ensure proper compliance of internal control. It is responsible for data integrity for all uploaded and downloaded information for reporting and analysis purposes. Additionally, the Financial System department is responsible for creating and operationalizing end to end finance/supply chain processes for relevant products and promotions launched by the commercial team.

The team also leads the implementation and operationalization of all new Finance related systems and tools such as the employee claims portal, travel portal, lease accounting tool, supply to contract system and centralized approval mobile application.

Aside from its operational responsibilities, the Financial System department leads the digitalization projects of the Finance team and spearheads the transformation & automation of Finance related processes.

C. ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Lead the transformation and automation of Finance related processes. Automated processes must have noticeable increases in efficiency and must need less human intervention.
  • Spearhead the Finance teams digitalization projects. Results must improve company sales/revenue, increase company cash or reduce company costs.
  • Formulate and operationalize end to end Finance/Supply Chain processes for relevant products and processes launched by the commercial team
  • Lead the implementation and operationalization of all new Finance related systems and tools such as the employee claims portal, travel portal, lease accounting tool and supply to contract system.
  • Lead the integration of other business systems (BSS/OSS/S2C/BI/Mobile Money) to the Financial System. Work closely with counterpart and to ensure already integrated systems are interfacing correctly.
  • Lead the ICoFR and ICMR activities for reporting purposes and co-ordinates with all departments for timely completion.
  • Develop and maintain system policies and procedures. Continuously improve financial system controls on specific processes by reviewing system data.
  • Perform system support to monthly closing, quarterly and Year-To-Date financials reports
  • Oversee the day to day management of financial data and assigned system tasks such as COA maintenance, master data creation/maintenance and system closing tasks
  • Accountable for resolving system issues and problems with IT and other BSS and/or OSS teams to ensure the system is performing the functionalities as designed
  • Train users the system functionalities by running workshops and forums which will be the vehicle for sharing information/providing guidance/changing process etc across the user groups
  • Monitor and maintain system access control
  • Ensure that all information gathering from SAP modules in a prompt, efficient manner and in accordance with the system deadlines. Additionally, assist in developing user defined reports and providing analytical data from SAP modules
  • Monitor system performance and provide immediate remedy for poor system performance and implement best practices to provide efficient process flow for all user groups
  • Strong leadership skills to supervise, coach and develop staff

Decision Making

Synthesizes and develops timely, pertinent and precise actions to provide optimal system support for all users of SAP modules and resolve system issues based on analysis of process and data. Decisions will also involve day to day user data gathering and recommendations. In addition to this, there will be major decisions related to the implementation of digitalization projects. Operationalization of new systems and automated processes will also be source of major decisions for the role. More action decisions or those with complex outcomes will typically be taken in conjunction with the Financial Controller.

F. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience & Essential Knowledge

  • Must have minimum of 7-year experience in ERP project implementation and/or business analysis, 4 years within a telecom environment, or related fields.
  • Has managed the delivery and development of at least 3 end to end financial system (ERP) implementations
  • Has successfully led at least 2 process transformation projects
  • Has led the implementation and operationalization of at least 2 other finance related systems/tools which complement the ERP (employee reimbursement portals, cash advance portals, source to contract systems, centralized approval mobile application)
  • Solid knowledge in financial policy & procedures, accounting operation process, reporting environment and financial reporting systems
  • Good working knowledge of Information Systems (SAP, Cognos, Oracle) & MS Office Excel, etc.
  • Has managed the integration of the following systems to a financial system: BSS (at least 1), OSS (at least 1), WMS (at least 1), core bank system (at least 1), BI (at least 1), mobile money system (at least 1) and reporting consolidation (at least 1).
