Job Summary:
We are seeking a creative and experienced Freelance Social Media Manager to oversee and manage specific clients' social media brands on a per account basis. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in creating and building video-first personal brands (vs just brand accounts) and implementing growth strategies that inspire engaged communities. We work with dynamic and interesting personal brands and are looking for SMMs who are up for creating the same.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute social media strategies tailored to an accounts goals and objectives, performing research as needed based on topic areas and interests.
- Work directly with our partners to create concepts that will be shot and edited for platforms including but not limited to Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
- Build and maintain an ongoing content calendar for all relevant platforms, maintaining an approval workflow with the client.
- Analyze social media metrics and generate regular reports to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and strategies, including optimizing content and creative strategy.
- Edit and/or work with editors to finalize all content for approvals and then post according to the content calendar.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their brand voice, goals, and target audience.
Ideal Experience:
- Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role demonstrating growth with personal brands.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and their respective audiences, especially short-form video on TikTok and Reels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Video/photo editing skills for social media.
- Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics.
- Creative thinking and ability to generate innovative content ideas.
- Strong analytical skills to measure and report on social media performance.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
