The FireHydrant platform includes Incident ResponseStatus PagesRetrospectives, and Deploy Events so you can take control of your complex system, reduce downtime, and work better together. We’re a Series A company with around 30 employees who sit across the United States and we’re growing.

About The Role

This position will be our first person who's main focus is writing code and acting as a mentor to all of us to ensure our work is the best it can be. We're excited to welcome your expertise and talents! The primary focus of this role will be to help us all level up our skills and ways of thinking about quality, from helping build out our framework to mentoring us in our journey to better support our customers.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the larger Engineering team through building and maintaining our end-to-end testing framework from the ground up.
  • Work with all of Engineering as a coach and mentor for how we all think about quality, helping us to learn and refine best-practices for our test development and utilization
  • Foster a healthy, thriving and inclusive environment where we all take pride in the quality of our work
  • Work closely with Product, Design and Support to ensure that our solutions to customer issues solves their needs without introducing unexpected problems along the way


What You’ll Bring

  • Experience building automated end-to-end tests for web applications using Cypress or Selenium WebDriver using javascript
  • Familiarity with rspec, Mocha and Jest
  • At least 5 years experience creating testing frameworks from the ground up, then maintaining these tests
  • Dedication to working with engineers to learn best-practices for ensuring quality
  • Experience getting automated tests into automated deployment pipelines
  • Passion for working with, teaching, and learning from a diverse group of people.
  • Emotional intelligence and understanding that people are more important than technology.
