Position: Operations Support Strategic Partner (Solar Business)

Full-Time | US Time Zone | Long-Term Role


We are seeking a proactive and process-driven Operations Support Strategic Partner (SP) to work directly with the owner of a growing solar sales and installation company. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building systems, supporting multiple departments, and helping a business scale through strong operations and documentation.

Youll play a key role in streamlining workflows, improving efficiency, and offloading operational tasks from the owner.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and operations support across 6+ departments (permitting, invoicing, scheduling, documentation, customer communication, etc.)
  • Help create, update, and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for recurring tasks
  • Handle document creation, data entry, contract prep, proposals, and customer emails


Manage back-office processes including:

  • Permitting paperwork
  • Invoicing subcontractors (e.g., roofers)
  • Coordinating with third-party engineers
  • Managing website and inbound leads
  • Support onboarding and transitions to new software tools and workflows
  • Work closely with the owner to identify tasks for delegation and take ownership of outcomes
  • Suggest process improvements based on prior operations experience


Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience as an Operations Support, Operations Specialist, or Admin Partner
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills across multiple business functions
  • Comfortable working with and improving SOP-driven processes
  • Adaptable to changing systems, tools, and procedures
  • Proficient with business tools: CRM, project management, docs, spreadsheets
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Background in solar, construction, or field services is a plus

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of solar permitting and invoicing processes
  • Experience supporting small business owners or startups
  • Ability to recommend and implement workflow and tool improvements

Reporting Structure

You will report directly to the business owner and act as a trusted partner in building scalable, efficient operations.
