Position: Bookkeeper / Accountant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Bookkeeper / Accountant. In this role, you will be responsible for recording and categorizing daily and weekly transactions, including sales, purchases, payroll, loans, and merchant fees. You will also be responsible for finalizing open items and reconciling them with bank and credit accounts.

As a Bookkeeper / Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our company's financial operations. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations and taxes, and providing support for client inquiries. This position requires direct work experience with a US-based company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record and categorize daily and weekly transactions, including sales, purchases, payroll, loans, and merchant fees
• Finalize open items and reconcile them with bank and credit accounts
• Communicate with clients through HoneyBook and provide updates and support on inquiries
• Monitor and respond to month-end questionnaires
• Complete month-end close (MEC) processes
• Prepare financial reports and ensure accuracy for compliance and taxes
• Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient financial operations
• Keep up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Bookkeeper / Accountant
• Direct work experience with a US-based company is required
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
• Proficiency in using accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
