Accountant / Accounting Specialist (CB)

Position: Accountant / Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant / Accounting Specialist to support our Controller and Accounting Manager with day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close activities, and ERP transition initiatives.

The ideal candidate has strong accounting fundamentals, experience working within home services or construction-related industries, and is comfortable operating within fast-paced, multi-entity environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform account reconciliations including:
  • Bank accounts
  • Credit cards
  • Intercompany accounts
  • Other balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare and maintain:
  • Journal entries (recurring and non-recurring)
  • Accrual schedules
  • Supporting schedules for reporting and audits
• Support month-end close processes and variance analysis
• Maintain and clean up general ledger records
• Assist with AP/AR processes as needed
• Perform data tie-outs between CRM systems and accounting platforms
• Support ERP implementation efforts including:
  • Data validation
  • Testing
  • Cleanup and migration support

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in home services, roofing, or construction industries
• Strong understanding of accrual-based accounting
• Experience with:
  • QuickBooks Online
  • Sage Intacct
  • NetSuite
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • SAP
  • Other ERP systems
• Familiarity with:
  • AccuLynx
  • JobNimbus
  • CRM/accounting integrations
• Experience participating in ERP implementation projects is highly preferred

Qualifications:

• Formal accounting education preferred
• CPA or graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics is a plus
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Strong communication and organizational skills
