Manager of Field Operations

River Region Sports Fields is a United Land Services (ULS) Company that specializes in athletic field construction and renovation in both natural grass and synthetic turf. RRSF does work at all levels from municipal park and rec facilities to professional venues and every level in between.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Field Operations to lead our crews in the field, ensuring excellence in service delivery and client satisfaction. This role is pivotal in maintaining our reputation for quality and innovation in the sports field construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement branch goals in collaboration with executive leadership.
• Establish and maintain long-term relationships with key clients to ensure satisfaction and account renewal.
• Oversee crew leadership in training and developing crew leaders and members.
• Attend pre bid meetings, pre construction meetings and OAC meetings regularly.
• Work with corporate teams to accurately track and report on branch performance metrics.
• Collaborate with Human Resources for staffing, training, discipline, and development plans.
• Identify and implement improvements, cost savings, and cost avoidance strategies for the branch.
• Establish and implement quality assurance processes, including conducting site visits and audits.
• Promote a safe work environment, prioritizing safety in all branch operations.
• Implement and compile job status reports on a weekly basis.

Qualifications

• Minimum of seven years of experience in sports field construction or a related industry.
• At least three years of progressive leadership experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on Excel.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Bi-lingual communication skills a plus.
• Bachelors Degree in Horticulture, Turf grass management, or a closely related field is a plus.
