United Land Services (ULS) is a leading full-service landscaping company offering a comprehensive suite of commercial landscape installation and maintenance services. Our services range from landscape design and maintenance to irrigation systems, hardscapes, and outdoor lighting. We cater to a diverse clientele, including single-family home developments, condominium complexes, commercial buildings, and shopping centers.

We are seeking a Regional Maintenance Estimator who will play a crucial role in accurately estimating maintenance costs for properties across our North Carolina and Georgia locations. This position requires regular travel to different sites within these regions, typically 3-4 days a week. The Regional Maintenance Estimator will collaborate closely with other estimators, Business Development, Branch Managers, and Community Managers to ensure precise estimates and alignment with client expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site property assessments at various locations in North Carolina and Georgia to gather data for accurate maintenance cost estimation.
  • Measure properties within the region to gather essential data required for pricing and labor hour estimation.
  • Understand the scope of work for landscaping projects across different sites and verify terms outlined in Request for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Interpret data and assess property characteristics within the region to determine adjustments based on job complexity.
  • Utilize computer software programs to create accurate and detailed landscape estimates while accounting for regional variations.
  • Conduct time studies within North Carolina and Georgia locations to ensure labor cost accuracy.
  • Assist the sales team in completing proposals and bid forms for regional projects.
  • Attend pre-bid and client meetings within the North Carolina and Georgia regions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with Branch Managers within the region to evaluate properties, ensuring alignment on feasibility and maintenance plans.
  • Coordinate with Community Managers within North Carolina and Georgia to incorporate property specific needs into estimates.
  • Assess and survey designated sites for various landscape verticals across the region.

Qualifications:

  • One to three years of experience in the landscaping industry. Estimating experience is required.
  • Familiarity with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software, Aspire, and Real Time software is advantageous.
  • A high school diploma is necessary, but a degree requirement may be waived based on additional years of relevant experience and/or training at the discretion of management.
  • Ability to be a self-starter with a positive, professional, can-do attitude, particularly important for arole that involves frequent travel.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, essential for collaborating with teams acrossdifferent locations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to perform accurate measurements and basic mathematical computations, crucial for estimating tasks.
  • Strong planning, organizing, attention to detail, and accuracy skills, adaptable to the demands of a regional role that requires travel.
