Position Summary:
We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Fleet & Safety Team Lead to support and guide our Fleet and Safety Department. This role combines administrative support with team leadership and oversight. The ideal candidate has a keen attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks and lead by example.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily administrative operations for the Fleet and Safety Department.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members to ensure efficient and accurate task completion.
- Delegate assignments, manage priorities, and monitor progress to meet department goals.
- Maintain and update fleet records using fleet management software.
- Run GPS reports and research findings for internal projects.
- Conduct and verify driver license checks for employees operating company vehicles.
- Assist with and oversee tag and title processing for company vehicles and trailers.
- Proofread and review reports and correspondence for accuracy and clarity.
- Support department leadership with meeting scheduling, communications, and report preparation.
- Perform general office duties such as scanning, filing, copying, and distributing mail.
- Serve as point of contact for internal departments regarding fleet and safety document requests or issues.
- Promote safety awareness and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to increase department efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of administrative experience required; leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience with fleet operations, safety processes, or fleet management software is highly desirable.
- Prior experience in the landscape or construction industry is a plus.
