Job Summary
The Construction Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing all on-site construction activities to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality project delivery.
This role is critical in managing large EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) projects within the Oil & Gas sector focusing on construction management of Tanks, with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and performance.`
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage construction plans, schedules, and resources in coordination with project teams.
- Lead and supervise construction teams, ensuring safe and efficient execution aligned with project specifications.
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards; conduct audits and manage incident response.
- Oversee construction quality assurance and ensure compliance with engineering and regulatory standards.
- Monitor budgets, approve costs, and implement cost-control measures to stay within financial targets.
- Maintain and track construction schedules, addressing delays and providing progress updates to stakeholders.
- Manage contractors and vendors, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and contractual obligations.
- Proactively identify and resolve construction issues; make critical operational decisions to maintain project momentum.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum 18+ years in construction management, with at least 10 years in Oil & Gas EPC projects focusing on construction of tanks.
- Proven experience in managing budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage large, diverse teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project).
