The Company
Our client is a leading global investment bank operating across Fixed Income, Rates and Credit markets. With a strong technology backbone and a commitment to digital transformation, they support trading, sales and risk desks worldwide.
The Team
Youll join the Fixed Income IT team, responsible for building and modernising internal software and tools used by Rates traders and sales. This is a collaborative, agile team working globally to deliver highly performant and scalable systems.
The Role
As a Fixed Income Software Developer, you will design, develop, refactor and maintain both desktop and web applications, APIs, and infrastructure for the Rates business. You will work closely with G10 and EM Rates traders/sales to translate business needs into robust, scalable technology. Youll also be involved in the release and change-management process, participate in support rotations, and drive platform improvements as part of a global engineering effort.
The Requirements
- Proven experience in software development in a finance context
- Strong object-oriented programming skills, especially in C#/.NET (including WPF)
- Deep understanding of system design, data structures and algorithms
- Pre-trade product knowledge: RFQ workflows, product types, trade checks, etc.
- High autonomy, sense of responsibility, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Good collaboration skills: ability to work with local and global teams
- Experience coordinating release and change management for critical systems
Nice to Have:
- Experience in electronic trading (Rates, Credit, or FX)
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools (e.g. TeamCity, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Technical expertise in databases, middleware, or infrastructure
- Familiarity with cloud-native technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and logging/monitoring stacks (Elastic Stack)
- Development experience in Python or scripting languages
