Infrastructure Migration Project Manager | Korean Speaking | Insurance
Job Description:
The company
Our client is a prominent global financial services institution with a strong international presence and an expansive footprint across Asia-Pacific. Operating across multiple specialized business lines, the organization is widely recognized for delivering high-impact financial solutions and executing large-scale, enterprise-grade technology transformation programs in strictly regulated environments.
The team
You will join a dynamic Regional program team responsible for overseeing critical infrastructure, governance, and technology delivery across North Asia. The team collaborates closely with cross-border technology units, external service providers, local operating entities, and executive steering committees to ensure seamless, compliant, and resilient execution.
The role
As Project Manager, you will take complete end-to-end operational and governance ownership of a high-visibility target-environment migration program for a key East Asian entity. Managing against a single master plan and critical path, you will drive five integrated workstreams: hardware/software procurement, network and hosting infrastructure, application migration and rebuilding, end-user workspace readiness, and financial control/shareholder governance.
The requirements
- Experience: 10+ years of proven IT project management, technology governance, or production management experience within complex international financial institutions.
- Core Technical Competencies: Strong practical track record in cloud migration, infrastructure rationalization, host/compute/storage, network connectivity, observability, incident management, BCP/DR, and production acceptance.
- Workstream & Financial Delivery: Demonstrated ability to manage multi-workstream programs—including IT asset management (ITAM), software licensing controls, hardware procurement, and project budget/cost-allocation models.
- Schedule & Delivery Control: Proven capability in building and controlling detailed integrated master schedules, critical paths, milestone forecasts, and recovery plans with firm delivery timelines.
- Language & Coordination Skills: Fluent English and professional proficiency in Korean are essential for reviewing local technical/regulatory documentation and coordinating effectively with entity stakeholders and service providers.
- Stakeholder & Governance Capabilities: Exceptional executive communication, risk management, escalation handling, and audit-ready documentation traceability skills across regional, offshore, and local leadership teams.
