The Company
A leading global financial institution is looking for a Pre-trade Sales Platform SRE Specialist in Hong Kong to support its digital sales and trading strategy across Asia, with a strong focus on platform reliability, performance and client experience.
The Team
You will join the Front Office Technology team, working closely with Asia Capital Market Sales team and embedded in an agile pre-trade sales platform development squad that supports front-office sales desks in Asia and collaborates closely with global delivery and IT teams.
The Role
This role focuses on site reliability engineering for the pre-trade sales platform, acting as a production control tower to monitor stability and performance, conduct stress-testing and capacity analysis, drive DevOps and CI/CD improvements, and partner with Sales and development teams to enhance resilience and the overall digital client experience.
The Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
- Extensive experience in IT development or SRE within the financial industry, ideally covering sales or trading platforms.
- Good understanding of financial markets, PB/retail distribution business and associated products, including options, futures, swaps, bonds and equity/FI structured products.
- Solid knowledge of pre-trade sales workflows and front-office needs.
- Advanced proficiency in .NET for web service APIs and back-end development.
- Strong hands-on skills in SQL and NoSQL storage solutions., C# is a plus.
- Proven track record in stress-testing, platform capacity analysis and performance tuning.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure (public IaaS).
- Practical experience with logging, monitoring and alerting frameworks (e.g. ELK).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory and Ansible, and with container and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Excellent written and oral communication; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Self‑motivated, autonomous, meticulous and rigorous, with strong teamwork skills and the ability to work under pressure and learn fast.
- English fluency required.
