Our client is one of the leading Corporate & Investment Banks in the world, which is looking to strengthen its transaction banking operations function. The business operates in a regulated environment with a strong focus on operational accuracy, controls, and service quality.

The team

You will join a fast-paced payments and remittance operations team supporting day-to-day transaction banking activities. The team works closely with internal stakeholders and external banking partners to ensure timely processing, clear communication, and effective issue resolution.

The role

This role is responsible for processing inward and outward remittance transactions, clearing items, cheque deposits, and related payment activities. You will also support account posting, reconciliation of Nostro outstanding breaks, reporting, control checks, UAT for system changes, and handling payment-related queries while maintaining compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.

The requirements

• University degree or diploma preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in cheques and remittances.
• Solid knowledge of payment processing and banking operations.
• Experience handling inward and outward remittance transactions and clearing items.
• Familiarity with cheques, autopays, FPS transactions, and CNY payments for correspondent banking activities.
• Ability to perform reconciliation, control checks, and reporting tasks.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as a good team player.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is required; other languages are an advantage.
• IT literate with a logical mindset and strong attention to detail.
• Motivated, creative, innovative, and team-oriented.
