The Hong Kong office serves as a regional hub for Capital Market Operations, processing transaction activities across Credit, Rates, FX/MM, Securities, and Equities, which is known for its robust operational infrastructure, commitment to regulatory excellence, and continuous investment in process optimization and technology.

The Team

You will be part of a dynamic, multicultural team supporting Front Office business lines during Asian trading hours, with extensive interaction across global Middle Office, Back Office, and IT functions. This role sits within the Equity Trading and Sales Support Middle Office, covering Structured Equity Solutions and Synthetic Equity Financing.

The Role

You will provide critical post-trade support to the Global Markets Division's equity business, ensuring transactional integrity across trading applications and managing the full lifecycle of structured products and equity transactions. This includes trade validation, modification and event processing, market data repository management, corporate actions monitoring, and break investigation. You will also contribute to business development initiatives and participate in continuous improvement projects alongside IT and project teams.

Experience needed

  • University degree in Finance, Mathematics, or Engineering

  • 5–7 years of experience in an Equity Middle Office environment

  • Solid knowledge of financial products with clear understanding of operational risks in Equity Derivatives, Stock Lending & Borrowing (SLB), and Structured Products (e.g., Notes, Accumulators/Decumulators)

  • Proficiency in trade lifecycle management including trade capture, amendments, events processing (early termination, partial termination, unwind), and P&L reporting

  • Experience with Total Return Swaps (TRS) lifecycle events: coupons, securities transactions, early partial closings, early exercise, maturity, nominal changes

  • Familiarity with corporate actions processing (dividends, cash flows) and market data management (equities, indices, proprietary indices, third-party data, calendars)

  • Strong understanding of FOBO/FOFO reconciliation processes and break resolution

  • Experience with Front Office to Back Office trade flow processing and post-trade support

  • Competency in systems: SOPHIS, SMARTEQ, 4SIGHT; Bloomberg and Reuters for market data

  • Advanced MS Office skills; VBA proficiency preferred

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to multitask effectively and work independently with minimal supervision

  • Strong attention to detail, self-motivated, with good judgement and alertness

  • Fluency in English required; proficiency in French or other Asian languages highly advantageous

  • Full compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory, and internal compliance requirements including local regulatory conduct rules and annual certification processes
