The Company

Our client is a prominent global financial institution with an established and expanding regional presence across Asia. Recognized for delivering high-impact life insurance, bancassurance, and investment solutions, the organization combines global enterprise governance with specialized regional execution to support multi-country markets.

Working alongside regional leadership and senior executive sponsors, the team drives high-priority transformation, permanent control, IT risk mitigation, and cyber security programs across multiple country entities.

The Role

We are seeking a senior Project Manager / PMO Lead to direct and coordinate a critical regional IT remediation and governance initiative. In this end-to-end management role, you will take full ownership of key workstreams—including Permanent Control & Conduct, IT Risk, and Cyber Security—by defining project roadmaps, establishing governance frameworks, managing cross-functional dependencies, and delivering audit-ready executive status reporting to key stakeholders.

The Requirements

  • Experience: At least 10 years of relevant experience in IT project management, technology governance, IT operations, or production management within a complex, multinational financial environment (Insurance or Banking preferred).
  • PMO & Risk Expertise: Strong background in managing permanent control, conduct frameworks, IT risk, cyber security, and large-scale regulatory or technical remediation programs.

  • Stakeholder Facilitation: Proven ability to manage complex dependencies, facilitate executive workshops, produce C-suite governance materials, and resolve capacity constraints or blockers effectively.
  • Autonomy & Traceability: Demonstrated capacity to operate independently, navigate matrixed organizational structures, and maintain audit-ready documentation and traceability.
  • Languages: Mandatory fluency in English (written and spoken). Working proficiency in Japanese and/or Traditional Chinese (Taiwanese market context) is a strong advantage for seamless regional coordination.
  • Compliance & Legal Awareness: Ability to interface effectively with internal legal and regulatory experts to align technical deliverables with regional compliance expectations.
