A leading global financial institution is seeking a talented FX Application Support Analyst to join their dynamic technology function. With a strong presence in Asia and a global footprint, the firm is a recognized player in FX and Credit markets, offering a collaborative and fast-paced environment for talented professionals in the financial technology space.

The Team

You'll join a high-performing IT support team that provides critical post-trade support for FX and Credit trading systems, with a particular focus on FX Options. Collaborating closely with colleagues across Hong Kong and London, the team plays a pivotal role in ensuring stability and performance of front-to-back trading platforms.

The Role

This is a hands-on support role involving the daily operational and technical oversight of front office and middle/back office systems. You will monitor and resolve incidents, deliver enhancements, and support traders and risk managers. The role involves working with platforms like Murex, Orchestrade, and Summit, handling everything from system configuration to testing and documentation.

The Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of front-office trading application support experience
  • Strong knowledge of FX products: Spot, Options, Forwards, NDFs, Swaps, and Precious Metals
  • Solid understanding of FX Options pricing, including Greeks and lifecycle management
  • Proficient in Murex (including End-of-Day processing, PL Compute, VAR, Market Operations, MxML, Risk Matrixes)
  • Experience supporting applications on Windows Server and UNIX/Linux platforms
  • Ability to read and troubleshoot UNIX shell scripts and Perl
  • Strong SQL skills; capable of reading stored procedures and optimizing queries
  • Familiarity with batch scheduling systems such as Control-M or Autosys
  • Excellent communication skills in English; Mandarin is a plus
  • Ability to work under pressure with demanding users and tight deadlines
  • Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Strong client focus and problem-solving abilities
