Senior C# Development Lead - Front Office IT
Job Description:
The Company
A leading global investment bank is seeking a junior C# developer to join its technology hub in Hong Kong, supporting capital markets activities across Asia and major global financial centers.
The Team
You will join the Front Office IT team within Global IT, a cross‑regional team (Hong Kong, Singapore, Paris, London, New York) responsible for pre‑trade / post‑trade / trading systems, maintenance and continuous evolution of the front office technology platform.
The Role
This is a hands‑on technical leadership role, leading an agile Asia Equity delivery team of 5 – 10 front office developers while actively contributing to design, development and DevOps for global projects, including cloud an digital transformation for front office platforms.
The Requirements
- Bachelor degree or above in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- At least 7 - 10 years of experience in software development, including proven track record as a Tech Lead or similar leadership role in a global capital markets environment.
- Deep understanding of equity/FICC products and equity/FICC business workflows (e.g. Equity Finance, Delta1).
- Advanced proficiency in C# (C++ and Java is a plus), including design and implementation of web service APIs and complex distributed systems.
- Strong experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) and modern architecture patterns.
- Solid exposure to DevOps practices and run‑the‑bank (RTB) infrastructure, including CI/CD, monitoring and alerting.
- Hands‑on familiarity with .NET, ELK, GitLab, JIRA and CI/CD toolchains such as Jenkins, Artifactory and Ansible, plus containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and motivate a diverse, distributed team in an agile environment.
- Strong project management capabilities with experience delivering complex, time‑critical initiatives using agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills in English; Cantonese, Mandarin and/or French are a plus but not mandatory.
- Proven track record of innovation, including adoption of AI/ML, public cloud, blockchain or tools like GitHub Copilot to enhance delivery speed and quality.
- High level of autonomy, ownership, accountability and value‑delivery focus, with the ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
