About the job Drone Pilot
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
As a Drone Pilot, you will conduct drone-based spraying operations within assigned or designated operational zones, ensuring precise application in accordance with crop requirements, while strictly adhering to all regulatory, environmental, and safety standards as defined within the specified areas of responsibility
Heres how you would make an impact:
- Operates assigned drones (M12 or X25 models) for agricultural spraying activities, including the charging of drone batteries and ensuring proper maintenance, secure storage, safekeeping, and transport of drones using designated company vehicles (e.g., multicabs).
- Ensures the safe handling and application of pesticides by strictly following safety protocols to prevent or minimize exposure and potential pesticide-related health risks. This includes the mandatory use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during all operations.
- Conducts thorough pre- and post-operation inspections using standardized checklists to ensure flight readiness and safety. This includes setting accurate flight parameters such as altitude, side overlap, and speed, based on Drone Application Technology (DAT) guidelines.
- Plans, reviews, and executes drone missions effectively, demonstrating proficiency in mission planning software and adherence to all flight safety protocols and operational guidelines.
- Provides timely and accurate reporting of spraying accomplishments and field updates to immediate supervisors or management to support operational tracking and decision-making.
Heres what were looking for:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Agriculture, or a related technical field.
- Recent graduates are highly encouraged to apply.
- Must hold a valid Drivers License.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Demonstrated experience in operating drones for agricultural spraying, with a solid understanding of drone technology and its application in farming practices.
- Competent in operating four-wheel vehicles for transportation and field operations.
- Willing and open to assignments in any of the company's Growing Operations Areas, particularly in Isabela, as required.
