PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

As a Farm Supervisor, you are responsible for managing assigned agricultural projects and ensuring the strict implementation of the Package of Technology among farmers. You will maintain accurate and reliable data in the system to support informed decision-making by upper management.

Heres how you would make an impact:

  • You will oversee the recruitment and selection of farmers.
  • Conduct preliminary assessments for Tobacco Growing Standards.
  • Encode and upload individual farm plans and budget requests to the central server and measure farm areas using GPS tools.
  • You will support and monitor farmers throughout the implementation of the Package of Technology.
  • Lead training and implementation of the Sustainable Tobacco Program (STP) across Governance, Crop, Environment, and Agriculture Labor Practices (ALP) pillars.
  • Train farmers and leaders on ALP principles.
  • Validate and confirm farm budgets using internal systems.
  • Document crop development and monitor all farming activities.
  • You will estimate yields during topping, harvesting, and curing stages.
  • Check tobacco moisture levels and conduct preliminary NTRM risk assessments.
  • Assist in tobacco hauling and buying station activities.
  • Conduct barangay meetings to reinforce standard procedures and ensure proper documentation.
  • Report violations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Safeguard all tobacco-related information.
  • Keep farmers informed of updates or changes in operations.
  • Comply with company policies on safety, health, environment, cost efficiency, and productivity.
  • Participate in team meetings and pep talks.

Here's what were looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in any four-year Agriculture-related course.
  • Must possess a valid Professional or Non-Professional Driver's License.
  • With relevant work experience in the field of operations and managing people.
  • Preferably with prior hands-on experience in tobacco farming and production processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates a high level of professionalism, leadership, and effective people management capabilities.
