  • Ensure adherence to sustainable forestry practices and compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Monitor plantation health, growth rates, and productivity to optimize yields.
  • Develop and maintain GIS databases to map plantation boundaries, track bamboo growth, and monitor land use.
  • Utilize GPS, drones, and remote sensing technologies to collect accurate field data.
  • Generate maps and spatial analyses to support decision‑making, resource allocation, and long‑term planning.
  • Use GIS‑based models to forecast plantation growth, identify risks, and plan expansion.
  • Conduct ecological surveys to assess soil quality, water resources, and biodiversity impacts.
  • Provide management with data‑driven insights for adaptive plantation strategies.
  • Collaborate with local communities, cooperatives, and government agencies to align plantation activities with socio‑economic goals.
  • Share GIS insights and plantation data with stakeholders to promote transparency and trust.
  • Support community training on bamboo cultivation and sustainable land management.
  • Prepare technical reports, maps, and presentations for management, investors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Maintain accurate records of plantation activities, GIS data, and compliance with forestry laws.
  • Provide evidence‑based recommendations for continuous improvement.

Here's what we're looking for:

  • Bachelors degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, Agriculture, or related field. Advanced education is an advantage but not required.
  • Experience in plantation management, forestry operations, and GIS applications.
  • Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS) and GPS tools; familiarity with drone mapping is an advantage.
  • Licensed Forester – RA 10690
  • Knowledge of bamboo cultivation and sustainable agroforestry practices.
