Hot & Cold Storage Technician

Purpose of the Role:

As a Hot & Cold Storage Technician, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of cold storage and hot room systems. This includes humidifiers, heat pumps, ventilating fans, and refrigeration equipment. Your role ensures the proper storage and preservation of tobacco products, maintaining optimal temperature and humidity levels year-round.

Here's how you would make an impact:

• Operate heat pumps, large ventilation fans, humidifier pumps, and refrigeration equipment in hot and cold storage rooms at the NB Facility
• Perform emergency repairs on HVAC systems promptly and efficiently
• Maintain daily logs and records of equipment operations and maintenance activities
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and policies in hot and cold rooms
• Execute preventive maintenance schedules
• Carry out directives and assignments from immediate supervisors
• Perform additional tasks as assigned

Here's what we're looking for:

• College level or equivalent, with certification from a vocational school or accredited training program in HVAC technology and refrigeration
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication
• Team-oriented with a commitment to safety
• Physically capable of lifting and carrying heavy equipment
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
