Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager — Sprinkler Construction to oversee fire sprinkler installation and construction projects from start to finish. This role is responsible for managing schedules, budgets, field coordination, subcontractors, materials, documentation, and customer communication. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, construction project management, and commercial construction processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage fire sprinkler construction projects from award through completion.
- Coordinate with general contractors, owners, engineers, designers, inspectors, and field crews.
- Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, scopes of work, and schedules.
- Track project timelines, budgets, labor hours, material needs, change orders, and billing milestones.
- Schedule manpower, materials, equipment, inspections, and project meetings.
- Work closely with designers and field teams to resolve conflicts, RFIs, plan revisions, and installation issues.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Monitor jobsite progress and conduct site visits as needed.
- Review submittals, shop drawings, permits, inspection requirements, and closeout documentation.
- Communicate project updates, risks, delays, and solutions to internal teams and customers.
- Maintain accurate project records, reports, schedules, and documentation.
- Support quality control and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Previous project management experience in fire sprinkler construction, fire protection, mechanical contracting, or commercial construction preferred.
- Knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, construction drawings, NFPA standards, and local code requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, contracts, and project schedules.
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing budgets, change orders, schedules, and field coordination.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, project management software, and construction documentation tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to local jobsites as needed.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with general contractors, inspectors, design teams, and field labor.
- Familiarity with NFPA 13, permitting, inspections, and sprinkler system installation requirements.
- OSHA certification, NICET certification, or PMP certification is a plus.
